Students worked in pairs on a strategy game called "Teddy Bear Jump and Slide". Though this seemed like a simple task at first, it got increasingly more difficult as the teams progressed through the levels. By the end of the period, most people were able to successfully navigate through the first four levels of the challenge. Data tables were created to help organize the information being collected.
Tonight's Homework: Finish the activity we started in class. Look for a pattern and try to write an equation for the minimum number of moves it will take to complete each level.
