Today, we looked at the lines described by different types of fund raising schemes. Students noted that getting paid a fixed amount of money, regardless of laps walked, created a straight and horizontal line. Getting paid a flat number of cents per lap created a straight line moving up and to the right from the origin. Getting a donation and a certain number of cents per mile created a similar type of line, but it does not start at the origin. We talked about the y-intercept today.
